What I’m keeping at hand
These are study notes, not recommendations and not a shop. I am not ranking studios, selling straps, or pointing you at a course I teach — I don’t teach.
[PLACEHOLDER — Diana] Seeded for local review. Swap in Diana’s real words before anything is published.
Words I had to look up
- Mat
- The floor version. Your body is the machine. I started here because I could put a towel down at home.
- Reformer
- A sliding carriage with springs. Helpful and confusing. I still ask what a spring change is for.
- Carriage
- The moving platform you lie, sit, or kneel on.
- Neutral / imprint
- Two ways the lower back can meet the mat. I still mix them up. I ask.
Questions I take to a first class
- What should I wear so I can forget my clothes?
- Do I need to be flexible to start, or is that a myth I packed with me?
- If I can’t breathe in a shape, may I make the shape smaller?
- Who do I tell if something hurts in a sharp way, not a working way?
Searches I actually typed
I’m writing answers to these in the journal as I live them — as a beginner, not as an expert page that already knows.
