Why I’m writing this down

I’m learning pilates as a beginner and keeping a public journal — not a coaching site, not a transformation story.

[PLACEHOLDER — Diana] Scaffold copy for review. Replace before the site is public.

I have been circling pilates for a long time the way you circle a lake you are not sure you can swim. I knew the word. I had seen the reformers in shop windows. I had a sentence ready — I should try that someday — that let me stay exactly where I was.

This site is me stepping off that sentence.

[PLACEHOLDER — Diana] The scenes below are scaffold writing for local review. Replace them with what actually happened before this domain goes live.

I am not teaching anyone from this page

I want that in the first screen, not the footer. I am a student. I do not have a method to sell, a package to close, or a certification to flash. If you arrived looking for a coach, you are early — and I am too.

I am writing because I want a record of the part most sites skip: the awkward month, the class I almost skipped, the cue I nodded at and did not understand.

Search engines are full of pages that already know the ending. I do not. That is the point.

Why pilates, and why now

I came in with ordinary reasons. I sit too much. My back has opinions about chairs. A friend said pilates helped her feel her middle in a way crunches never did. None of that makes me an authority. It makes me a person who finally booked a mat class.

What I did not want was a before-and-after. I am not documenting a shrink. I am documenting a practice.

What I hope this journal is for

  • A place I can tell the truth when a class felt confusing.
  • A place to keep the questions I actually typed — do I need to be flexible to start pilates? — and answer them as a beginner, not as a brand.
  • A spine for later video, if I ever turn a camera on. The vlog page is empty on purpose.

If this later becomes useful to someone who is also stalling in the doorway, good. If it only stays useful to me, that is still a site worth keeping.

What will not appear here

No fake reviews. No follower counts. No “as seen in.” No hire-me ribbon. Those things can wait until they are real, and some of them may never belong on a journal at all.

I will add real posts when I have real weeks behind them. Until then, treat every dated entry as a placeholder with my name on it: [PLACEHOLDER — Diana].
